Galaxy Moon XI, (GMXI). One thousand, one hundred and eleven individual NFT’s Created by Richard Jacobs. Presented with private smart contract and mint by M4GE.
GMX1 is currently being completed for a drop in June 2022.
Jacobs continues to explore his seamless pivot to digital art by expanding the circular structure within the square to create equivocating spatial relationships within abstract forms and appropriated imagery. He digs deep into his own iconography, including self portraits, as well as cultural icons like punks, apes and various portraits.
In partnership with M4GE, Richard has been hosting frequent private viewings in his gallery, hosted in the metaverse Cryptovoxels. Richard has described his experience in the metaverse as "the best solo show of my career". The metaverse allows for a unique art viewing experience, much different than his traditional collector base is accustomed to. This has provided the space for Richard to expanade his artistic expression from his traditional physical contemporary paintings, to his newly discovered digital practice.
Richard Jacobs is 60 year old a Fine Artist from Vermont with BA from the Cooper Union and an MFA from Yale University. He was a Henry Luce Scholar in Bali Indonesia, where he maintains a second studio. Jacobs paintings have been exhibited internationally, and are represented in museum, private and corporate collections.
In 2021 Jacobs pivoted to creating digital work for his first one of one series of 111 NFT’s titled GenesisMoon111. He is currently working on his next drop of 1,111 NFT’s titled GMXI. The experience Jacobs brings to NFT’s and the Web 3 space is the wisdom attained from the patience of living a creative life.
